I am a one man operation, working on one guitar at a time using only well seasoned top quality woods on my guitars. Why put hundreds of hours of work into an instrument with inferior materials? I don't use CNC or pre-manufactured parts so customizing your guitar is no problem. Hardware such as frets, tuners and the truss rod is the only thing that I can't produce. I use hot hide glue where it's feasible, especially on braces, linings, tops, and back. All of my guitars feature a neck block with a spanish foot and an upper support under the entire fret board. I don't enjoy finishing with lacquer for I believe it to be toxic not only to me but the environment. My guitars are french polished or finished with oil varnish. Some luthiers don't believe you can hear much of a difference in finishes, I whole heartly diasagree. Think about it, the guitar is pumping air thus the top is vibrating, moving. If you laminate the top, like factory guitars, wouldn't that impede movement? I will be adding to this section with my thoughts as time permits. If you want to share any of your opinons with me please do so, for I welcome them.
